About the role

MaacVerify, Inc. is an independent AI performance verification and certification company. We assess AI deployments inside client environments in regulated sectors (healthcare, financial services, legal) using the MAAC framework, a nine-dimension psychometric instrument validated through doctoral research in Industrial and Systems Engineering. We do not build, sell, or train AI systems, and we do not advise on governance, compliance, or remediation. We measure AI performance and issue certification decisions. Independence is the product. The company is pre-revenue and founder-led, with the methodology, research base, intellectual property, and platform in place. This is a founding team position: high ownership, high accountability, compensated in founding equity under the structure described below. The Head of Quality and Certification is the guardian of the evidentiary standard. Every MaacVerify engagement produces a five-document certification package: the Certification Report, the Statistical Validation Report, the Methodology and Protocol Record, the Chain of Custody Record, and the Derived Parameters Record. Your mandate is that every artifact in every package withstands scrutiny from a client's general counsel, an external auditor, and a regulator. There is no acceptable version of a careless certification artifact. This role currently holds one of the five founding distribution pool seats, reflecting its position at the core of the company's delivery integrity.

What you will do

  • Certification package governance. Own the quality standard, templates, review gates, and release control for the five-document certification package. Nothing ships to a client without passing your review.
  • Pre-specification enforcement. Enforce the discipline that makes certifications defensible: statistical parameters derived from baseline data and locked in full before any client scenario data is observed, with a complete derivation trace and no post hoc judgment calls.
  • Chain of custody. Own the chain-of-custody protocol across every engagement: timestamped records, independence declarations, and documented separation between client personnel and scoring or certification decisions.
  • Certification decision process. Administer the decision framework (certified, certified with conditions, not certified), including failure mode documentation, required operational controls, validity periods, and regulatory mapping accuracy.
  • Reassessment and drift. Define and operate the recertification cadence, reassessment triggers, and drift monitoring criteria as separate, governed line items.
  • Quality management system. Build the QMS toward conformity-assessment accreditation readiness (ISO/IEC 17020 or 17065, ANAB path), so accreditation is a documentation exercise rather than a rebuild when the company initiates it.
  • Internal audit. Run internal audits of the assessment process itself, applying to MaacVerify the same standard MaacVerify applies to the systems it certifies. Every process has an owner; every decision has a record.

What we are looking for

  • Conformity assessment background. Experience inside a certification body, ISO-accredited testing or inspection lab, audit firm, or equivalent quality function where independent third-party decisions were the product.
  • Standards fluency. Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17020 or 17065, ISO 9001, and familiarity with ISO/IEC 42001 and accreditation processes (ANAB or equivalent).
  • Regulated-sector QA. Quality assurance experience in healthcare, financial services, or another regulated vertical, including audit-facing documentation.
  • Statistical literacy. Ability to critically review statistical validation reports (hypothesis tests, equivalence testing, effect sizes) well enough to catch errors, not to reproduce the analysis.
  • Documentation obsession. A demonstrated, near-uncomfortable standard for documentation completeness, traceability, and version control.
  • Independence instinct. The reflex to separate assessment from advice, and the spine to hold a certification decision under client pressure.

Independence Standard (Read Before Applying)

MaacVerify verifies; it does not advise. Any blurring of verification and advisory roles is disqualifying, in the work and in the interview. Candidates who cannot articulate why an independent assessor must not recommend remediation, or who see advisory services as a natural product extension, should not apply. This filter is applied first and without exception.

Compensation

Founding roles are equity-compensated during launch, with a contractual path to salary: a defined revenue trigger converts each role to a market-anchored base salary with benefits, plus a milestone equity grant that vests at conversion. Equity-first now, salaried later, on documented terms rather than promises.
